World Cup Raises Money For Local Dementia Carers
This summer the country has been gripped by World Cup fever and at JET’s AW&D Hammond forecourt, in Halesworth, it is no different. Ahead of this tournament, staff set about organising two world cup sweepstakes to raise money for a local charity.
The team at Hammond Motor Group unanimously agreed that the Halesworth Dementia Carers’ Fund (HDCF) was a good cause. This charity supports those suffering from dementia and their families who live in Halesworth and the surrounding areas.
On Monday 2nd July, Forecourt Manager, Louise Hammond, presented a cheque for £54 to HDCF’s representatives, Dave and Jackie Rich.
Jackie thanked the staff and Dave went on to say, “As partners of the Halesworth Dementia Support Project, we offer one to one support to carers and families, run group activities, as well as help with respite care.”
Hammond’s Jet garage and store remains at the heart of the local community supporting local charities including Edgar Sewter Playschool, Holton Primary School, Halesworth Men’s Shed and Guide Dogs For The Blind.
