Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team, based in Halesworth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting and finance, within an established motor trade business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day financial transactions, including purchase and sales ledger entries
- Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
- Support month-end processes
- Prepare and maintain financial records
- Liaise with internal departments
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Requirements
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
- AAT qualification or working towards (highly desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
