Children In Need Charity Convoy
As one of the newest faces of Subaru in East Anglia, we were more than happy to take part in a Charity Convoy in aid of Children In Need.
Hammonds who are based in Halesworth decided to participate in the Charity Convoy organized by the Subaru owners club, scoobycity.co.uk. With over 80 cars taking part it really was sight to behold, all of the Subaru's met at Broadland Business Park and set off simultaneously to Norwich City centre, where they stopped off at Gentleman's Walk and displayed the vehicles.
Peter Diskin and Alex Marsh were the two sales executives who represented Hammonds; throughout the previous week they have been asking all 250 members of staff at Hammonds for donations in order to help raise as much money as possible. Peter and Alex took a Subaru Impreza STi Type UK, which had the Subaru livery to make it stand out amongst all the other Impreza's.
The event also highlighted the online auction that was held where members could bid for items donated and all the proceeds were donated to Children In Need. Hammonds took along mugs, jackets and other merchandise. The event has currently raised £1703.00. The night finished by the convoy heading off to its final destination in Little Melton for a much deserved meal for the drivers.
