Halesworth bodyshop triumphs in awards:
Hammond Accident Repair Centre, based in Halesworth, has won the Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Award, sponsored by Glasurit, at the prestigious Bodyshop Awards ceremony.
Winning the award is a great way of boosting business and staff morale, and helps the bodyshop benchmark itself against the top performers in the industry. The bodyshop was praised by the Awards Assessor as a technically driven business with excellent equipment levels and standards of customer care.
Kevin Vokes, Bodyshop Manager, said, ‘We are extremely proud to win and it is recognition for the guys on the shop floor.’
Hammond Accident Repair Centre fought off competition from two other commercial vehicle bodyshops in the finals for the hotly contested trophy, which was announced and presented by comedian Paul Tonkinson.
This year is the 13th Bodyshop Industry Awards. The Bodyshop Industry Event was first held in 1997 to celebrate the publication’s 10th anniversary. It was such an overwhelming success that it has now become an annual event, attended by professionals from every facet of the motor industry.
The awards were established to recognise and reward excellence within the automotive repair and refinish industry. In total, there are 18 Award categories ranging from Young Panel Technician of the Year to Independent Bodyshop of the Year.
