The Ford Ranger is a pick-up truck that is robust, versatile and stylish. Its size and dynamic stance give it a huge amount of road presence, yet Ford designers have made it one of the most manoeuvrable vehicles in its class.

Although the Ford Ranger is substantial in size, it is a joy to drive. The 2.5-litre TDCi engine provides 143PS – enough to carry a payload of up to 1,235kg. Drivers can also choose three driving modes to suit any terrain or conditions: a 4x2 rear-wheel drive mode; a 4x4 high range; and a 4x4 low range. Meanwhile, the Rear Park Assist function negates much of the worry and physical stress of parking a larger vehicle.

Clever use of storage space means that the inside of the Ranger is full of small compartments, ensuring that the cabin never has a cluttered, cramped feel. The higher-spec ‘Wildtrak’ version of the Ranger even comes with heated Alcantara or leather seats with contrast stitching and an embroidered logo.
